The team contest this time involved Game Assets Master's students.
Two intense, full immersion weeks of simulating real production work. Divided into 3 teams (Halo, Kratos, Zelda), our aspiring Game Artists were required to work in complete autonomy on the complete modeling and surfacing of the characters of the protagonist, antagonist and mascot. Of course, there was also no shortage of work on the creation of an internal and another external evironment.
This is an important opportunity for our young people to put into practice what they have learned so far during the training path to become a Game Artist, but not only. As a matter of fact, the goal is to go to work also on what are the soft skills of a professional 3D Artist, such as: reliability, collaboration with colleagues, respecting commitments made and deadlines received. At the same time always keep the focus on the artistic side of the work produced as well as consistency with what were the initial indications of the client.
Students were able to make use of all softwares taught in the course: Maya, Zbrush, Photoshop and Substance Painter and Designer. They used Marmoset Toolbag as their rendering engine.
This edition of the contest was won by the Halo team! Congratulations!
Congratulations to all the kids who participated in the Game Assets Contest! Really very nice final works submitted by all teams.
